Hello! I'm Alex Clark, a commercial composer and songwriter. I've been composing for Radio/Television/Web and more for 5+ years and have worked with some of the largest advertising agencies in the world.
I was born and raised in Louisville, KY, though I lived in New York City for several years after attending Indiana University for college. I returned to Louisville in 2010. I like to think of myself as living in Brooklyn, KY.
Throughout High School and College, I played in a band, North Jordan, who opened for bands such as Margot and the Nuclear So and Sos and Hootie and the Blowfish.
I released my first solo album in 2007, Eternal Storybook Land, and moved to Brooklyn, NY in the same year. While in New York, I played in a band (Claymation Velociraptor), that dressed in full bear-suits while playing. Yep. We released our album, We're Having a Party!, in 2010. I discovered my passion for advertising composing while working for three years at the production studio, Sound Lounge. I've been doing it since then!
It's nice to meet you!
What Clients Have To Say
" Alex delivers every time. No matter how ridiculous or genre-bending the request, whether it's a theme, score, or a one-off song, Alex consistently surpasses my expectations. He genuinely cares about what he does and it's reflected in both the content and production quality."
